Thank you for considering a donation to Wheatland Athletics youth programs and encouraging participation in youth sports. Youth sports, specifically participation in team sports, is declining across the country, but WAA is working with partners to grow involvement in Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Soccer and Flag Football. Help us to encourage kids to stay active and keep the cost of participation low for local families.

The Wheatland Athletic Association (WAA), established in 1977, is a non-profit, volunteer organization, serving over 12,000 registrants annually. Participants range in age from preschoolers through adult.  

WAA is a leader in the Community and gives back by offering year round team sports opportunities and:    

·        Funding and developing athletic fields including fields at Commissioner’s Park, Wheatland Salem Church, Crossroads Community Church, Gregory Middle School and more

·        Awarding $5,000 annually in College Scholarships to local High School Seniors

·        Offering need based Scholarships to local participants

·        Working with local High School students with disabilities by providing a vocational work site.

·        Offering work opportunities to local youth as interns, officials, field crew and office staff.

We are excited to announce that in 2025, WAA will be expanding our WAA Sports Campus and add a 14,000 square foot, Baseball and Softball Training Center with an All Sport work out area, and a full size, outdoor, lighted, artificial turf field. These improvements will serve our participants and the community for years to come and set the WAA programs apart from other local organizations.

 

Your donation can be directed toward our Capital Improvements fund, Scholarship fund or General fund. WAA is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization and donations may be tax deductible.
