WAA Cross Town Pony Baseball League
New for the 2022 season, the WAA Pony league will become the WAA Crosstown League with Naperville Pony Baseball and other local community teams from Wheaton and Lombard. Each team will play approximately 14 league games and participate in an end of season tournament in late June (scheduling weather dependent). There will be an All-Star Game on June 2 in Wheaton. All teams will host home 6-8 home games. The games for WAA Pony teams will be in Aurora, Lombard, and Wheaton. WAA teams will practice on local fields. Games begin in mid-April (weather permitting) and are scheduled to end in late June.
The Crosstown League is a baseball program for current 7th and 8th graders (grade as of May 1, 2023). On March 6, 2023, all players are required to participate in a player evaluation to insure fair and equal team. Siblings will be placed on the same team and we will do our best to accommodate limited special requests.
All players MUST be registered prior to evaluations.
There will be continued emphasis placed on the fundamentals of the game as players are instructed on hitting, throwing, catching and base running within a framework of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Players must provide their own glove, cleats, baseball pants, and belt. WAA will provide balls, catcher gear, and bases for each team. Team Shirt, hat and socks are included with the registration fee.
For further details, please reference the Ponies rules , however, these rules are in the process of being updated per Cross-Town league agreement.
All participants must register and participate.
Notification of scheduled evaluation time will be sent by email.
