Pro Academy 1 is for the recreation player registering for Pro Academy for the first time.

*Pro Academy Advanced is for the player who demonstrates competency in the skills and concepts of Pro Academy 1 and has been awarded a Pro Academy 1 Certificate of Mastery from WAA. Pro Academy Advanced focuses on advanced ball manipulation, passing and receiving, and ball striking skills with players of similar ability. Please call the soccer office at 630-978-8244 to discuss registering your child for Pro Academy Advanced without completing Pro Academy 1.

No CLEATS, slip-on, or Velcro shoes. All players must wear shin guards, soccer socks and non-marking, flat bottomed gym shoes or indoor soccer shoes.

Sessions held in the WAA indoor facility located at 2323 Liberty Street, Aurora, IL 60502.

Program Information

Pro Academy classes are for the motivated soccer player ages 5-10 years old desiring a more challenging training environment. Conducted by Team Chicago Soccer Club professional coaches, the goal of Pro Academy is to provide training that bridges recreation and travel soccer. There are no games in Pro Academy classes.

Pro Academy 1 focuses on ball-mastery (1 player 1 ball) and is a supplemental program to other WAA soccer programs with an additional fee. This program is for players 5 to 10 years old who have previously played recreation soccer or participated in a skills class or summer camp. Players earn a Certificate of Mastery after they can consistently execute the skills and understand the concepts presented in Pro Academy 1. Pro Academy 1 is typically repeated at least one time before moving to Pro Academy Advanced.

Pro Academy Advanced is for the player who demonstrates competency in the skills and concepts of Pro Academy 1 and has been awarded a Pro Academy 1 Certificate of Mastery from WAA. Pro Academy Advanced focuses on advanced ball manipulation, passing and receiving, and ball striking skills with players of similar ability.

There is a $20 discount for Pro Academy classes if you are registered for the current session of WAA Rec + or WAA Indoor Soccer.

Equipment & Directions

Equipment

Players may wear any color shirt, soccer shorts, shin guards and soccer socks with soccer shoes
For spring, summer, and fall sessions, please bring a size 3 or 4 ball with name and phone number on it and a water bottle
No ball needed for indoor winter sessions
Soccer cleats should be worn for spring, summer, and fall sessions and bring flat soled shoes to every class in case the program is moved indoors due to weather conditions. (If available)
Flat soled shoes only may be worn for winter sessions. NO CLEATS, Velcro, or slip-on shoes.
