Program Information

Fall Baseball League

Join WAA Fall Baseball Program! Teams will be led by volunteer coaches dedicated to helping players improve their skills while abiding by WAA’s Code of Conduct.  Program emphasis is on having fun and the fundamentals of the game. Players are coached on hitting, throwing, fielding and base running within a framework of teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Please register based upon your participants FALL school grade. 

NEW! 1st/2nd Grade will play on Baseball diamonds (dirt fields)! 

Special Request Policy — Special requests for team placement will be considered carefully, but there is no guarantee they will be honored. For requests to be considered, registration must be completed by June 30th.

Maximum 12 players per team and are limited to no more than 6 travel players on a team.

Team practices will begin the week of August 11th and the 8-game season will begin on Sunday, August 17th. Games are played on Sundays in Naperville and Aurora. No games will be played Labor Day weekend.

Rosters, schedules, uniforms and equipment will be distributed to head coaches on August 6th. Head Coaches schedule team practices and players will be contacted by their coach within 48 hours after the August 6th meeting.

Head Coaches receive $50 discount if equipment is returned by 10/31/25.

Open to players in 1st through 12th Grade, with league play divisions:

2025 RULES
Equipment 
  • Players provide their own glove, helmet, pants, and cleats (1st-6th rubber; 7th/8th, High School metal).
  • WAA will provide jerseys, hats and socks.
  • Team equipment is provided to head coach by WAA including catcher gear, game balls, practice baseballs, and two USA stamped bats. Some players prefer to use their own bat.  Please refer to WAA baseball rules for bat specifications.

Volunteer Opportunities

WAA is a non-profit volunteer organization.  Parent volunteer coaches are needed for all teams at all levels.  Please volunteer to coach your child's team!

Coaching Descriptions;

Head Coach: 

Primary responsibility for management and motivation of the team. A solid understanding of the rules of baseball is helpful and a desire to teach baseball fundamentals to children is necessary.  The head coach notifies all team members within 48 hours of coaches meeting/equipment hand-out.  Provides team with roster, game and practice schedules, and rulebook. Head Coach must adhere to the WAA Code of Conduct and is subject to a background check.

Assistant Coach:  Assists the head coach. A solid understanding of the rules of baseball is helpful and a desire to teach baseball fundamentals to children is necessary. Assistant Coach must adhere to the WAA Code of Conduct and is subject to a background check.

Special Requests

Remember: Special requests for team placement will be considered carefully, but there is NO GUARANTEE they will be honored.  For requests to be considered, the registration should be submitted as early as possible.  Requests are considered on a first come, first serve priority.  Each participant is limited to two requests (eg, friend, coach) per registration.   WAA tries to place children based on special requests, neighborhood and school.   However, we attempt to make balanced teams and are limited by the number of volunteer head coaches.  Please spell names of requested players/coaches correctly
