The primary emphasis of the program is to teach basic skills to all players and enhance the skills of the more experienced players. The program encourages player creativity in the development of both individual and team skills. WAA’s goal is to create an atmosphere of fun and good sportsmanship for all players. Emphasis on only winning is not the purpose of our program. All players participate equally.
Session 2:
Coed Kindergarten
GIRLS: 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th, 6th
BOYS: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and High School*
*The High School division is for recreational players only. High School teams MUST have a PARENT (of a registered HS player) Head coach in attendance at ALL games and practices. If you have a fully requested team, a Parent must volunteer as Head Coach.
Grades may be combined to allow appropriate league play.
8-game season with games on Saturdays (Jan 25, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8, 15 ). Practices will begin the week of Jan 20th. (No games or practices are scheduled when school is not in session.) Enrollment is limited! Players will be placed on teams on a first come, first serve basis. Registration fee includes a team shirt for each player.
The Kindergarten program consists of one-hour sessions on Saturday for a combined practice/clinic/mini-game format once a week.
1st through High School teams will have one practice session each week, times, locations and week night will depend on gym availability and are scheduled by the head coach. The games are scheduled to be played on Saturday at local area gyms. WAA allows player to play up one grade level, but players may not register to play down a grade level.
