PROGRAM INFORMATION
Join the WAA Recreational Softball Program for a summer full of fun, fastpitch softball, skill development, and teamwork. Our program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of the game—including hitting, throwing, catching, and base running—while creating a positive environment built around sportsmanship, confidence, and teamwork.
WAA offers four age-based divisions determined by your player’s current school grade at the time of registration. (Division details are listed below.)
WAA partners with School District 204, Fox Valley Park District, Wheatland Township, and Naperville Park District to provide fields throughout the community. Games are played within these service areas. Teams are formed using special requests, neighborhoods, and schools as guidelines. Travel players are not permitted.
All teams are coached by dedicated volunteer coaches who select their team’s practice day, time, and location. Rosters, schedules, uniforms, and equipment are distributed to coaches in early May. Once coach meetings are completed and schedules are finalized, players will be contacted by their head coach within 48 hours.
Games are scheduled as close to team neighborhoods as possible to make participation convenient for families. The 12-game season begins after Memorial Day and runs through mid-July.
To be considered, special requests must be submitted by the registration request deadline.
Game Schedules:
1st–2nd Grade:
Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:15 PM
3rd–8th Grade:
Typically one weeknight game at 6:15 PM
One Saturday game (times vary)
Please register using your child’s current grade as of January 1.
