Keep your player active, learning, and having fun this fall with WAA Fall Baseball, our instructional baseball program for 1st grade through High School (2026 Fall grade). Open to all skill levels, this league focuses on developing fundamental baseball skills, teamwork, and a love for the game in a positive, supportive environment. Volunteer coaches will guide players through hitting, throwing, catching, and base running while emphasizing good sportsmanship and player development.

1st–High School Program

Season: Practices begin the week of August 10; Games begin Sunday, August 16
Games: 8-game season
Practices: One team practice per week, scheduled by the coach
Game Format: Games played on Sundays after 11:00 AM in Naperville and Aurora. No games Labor Day Weekend. All divisions play on a baseball diamond.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Join the WAA Fall Baseball Program for a fun, instructional season focused on skill development, teamwork, and enjoying the game!

All teams are led by dedicated volunteer coaches who follow WAA’s Code of Conduct and are committed to helping players grow. The emphasis of the program is on learning the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running, while building sportsmanship and teamwork in a positive environment.

Please register based on your participant’s fall school grade.

Program Details

Teams are capped at 12 players per roster
No more than 6 travel players per team
8-game season plus practices begins in mid-August
Games are played on Sundays in Naperville and Aurora
No games scheduled over Labor Day weekend

Special requests for team placement will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Season Timeline

Rosters, schedules, uniforms, and equipment will be distributed to head coaches in early August. Coaches will schedule practices and contact players within 48 hours following the preseason coaches meeting.

The WAA Fall Baseball League is a great way for players of all levels to stay active, improve their skills, and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.

EQUIPMENT:

Player Equipment:

Players should provide their own glove, batting helmet, gym shoes or rubber cleats, belt, and baseball pants.

Provided by WAA:

WAA will supply each player with a team jersey, hat, and socks.

Team Equipment:

WAA provides all team equipment to the head coach, including catcher’s gear, practice baseballs, game balls, and two USA-stamped bats. Players are welcome to use their own bat if preferred (please refer to WAA Baseball Rules for approved bat specifications).
