Recreational Basketball Leagues (K-12TH)WAA’s Indoor Winter Basketball League offers recreational play for boys and girls in grades K–12, with registration opening in August on a first-come, first-served basis. Open to all skill levels, the program focuses on developing basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence in a fun, positive environment where all players have the opportunity to participate and grow. A team shirt is included with registration. The high school division (grades 9–12) is designed for players not currently on school teams and is split into 9–10 and 11–12 divisions. The season is divided into two sessions, with most age groups able to participate in both (exceptions apply). Games are typically played on Saturdays at local gyms, with weekday evening practices scheduled by coaches. Hoop heights are adjusted by grade level to support development. Schedules are posted online prior to the season, and WAA reserves the right to adjust divisions or league structure based on registration numbers. More Information

Wizards Travel Basketball (3RD-12TH)The Wheatland Wizards Travel Basketball program focuses on developing well-rounded players through a combination of skill training, game preparation, and competitive play. Led by experienced coaches and trainers—including Coach Dunc—the program emphasizes fundamentals, game IQ, physical development, and confidence, helping athletes progress from youth basketball into high school and beyond. Designed with multi-sport athletes in mind, Wizards allows players to grow in a competitive environment without year-round specialization. The season includes training opportunities in the summer, team practices beginning in the fall, and games and tournaments during the winter (November–March) for 3rd–8th grade teams. The high school program operates seasonally as well. Wizards players come from communities across Aurora, Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, and beyond, creating a competitive and supportive environment where hard work and enjoyment of the game go hand in hand.
