OUR MISSION
"The overall WAA mission is to provide quality athletic opportunities and experiences that enhance a sense of community, and provide a fun and safe environment for volunteers, families and participants of all ages and abilities in the Aurora, Naperville, Oswego and Plainfield areas.
Our philosophy is simple: help every athlete learn, grow, and enjoy the game. We offer programs for a range of ages and skill levels, allowing athletes to develop their abilities at their own pace while building confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. Whether participating recreationally, competing in a league, or pursuing a travel opportunity, every athlete should have a positive experience, feel supported, and have the opportunity to reach their potential."
OUR HISTORY
"Founded in 1977, the Wheatland Athletic Association (WAA) is a nonprofit youth sports organization serving families throughout the Aurora, Naperville, Oswego and Plainfield areas. What began with T-Ball for just 60 children has grown into an organization serving more than 12,000 participants each year, with programs for athletes ages 2–18 as well as adults."
