Referees & Linesman
Needed!
Anyone interested in making a little
extra
$$$MONEY$$$?
WAA
is in need of individuals to work as referees and
linesman for soccer games. Referees are needed for
grades 2nd - 9th and are paid on a
sliding scale depending on certification and the age
group level game you are working. Non-certified Linesmen work
the sidelines of games for 4th-8th
grade and are paid $8.00 per game, certified linesmen
earn $10.00 per game. Minimum age
requirement for working is 14 years old, with those
under 16 needing to get a work permit prior to being
hired. 12 and 13 year olds can work as linesmen but
need to follow the special rules below. This is a great job for a junior high or
high school student who likes the game of soccer.
You get to work outside and can work together with a
friend if you both sign up. All games are played
on Saturdays, except one double-header weekend, and the season runs from
April 12th through May 17th, 2008. If you are interested please
contact the WAA Office at 630-978-2855.
Volunteer Opportunities
Wheatland
Athletic Association depends on volunteer parents for
many of the coaching and assistant coaching positions in
the program. We appreciate all those who have
helped out in the past and hope they will continue to
give of their time for the future. Discounts for head
coaches are given for most sports in the program.
We also need volunteer division coordinators who are
responsible for grouping the registrations for a
specific grade into teams. After the season
begins, the coordinator is a link between WAA and the
teams.
If you have an interest in becoming
involved call the WAA office: 630-978-2855. Paid
