WAA Crosstown League (7th & 8th Graders)

Program Information

WAA Cross Town PONY Baseball League

In 2022, the WAA PONY League became the WAA Crosstown League with other local community teams from Wheaton and Lombard.  Each team will play 12 league games and participate in an end of season double elimination tournament in late June (scheduling weather dependent). There will be an All-Star Game on June 5 in Wheaton.  All teams will host 6-8 home games. Games for the WAA teams will be in Naperville, Lombard, and Wheaton.  WAA teams will practice on local fields.  Games begin in late April and are scheduled to end in late June.

The Crosstown League is a baseball program for current 7th and 8th graders (grade as of May 1, 2024). On March 3, 2024, all players are required to participate in a player evaluation to insure fair and equal teams.  Siblings will be placed on the same team and we will do our best to accommodate limited special requests.

All players MUST be registered prior to evaluations.

There will be continued emphasis placed on the fundamentals of the game as players are instructed on hitting, throwing, catching and base running within a framework of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Players must provide their own glove, bat , cleats, batting helmet, baseball pants, and belt. WAA will provide balls, catcher gear, and throw down bases for each team. Team Shirt, hat and socks are included with the registration fee.

For further details, please reference the Pony Rules (2024 TBD), however, these rules are in the process of being updated per Cross-Town league agreement.
