The State of Illinois has released its guidance for youth sports to reopen in Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan. In addition, the Illinois Youth Soccer Association also released information for soccer programs. Our staff has been working to ready our facilities and align our programs and plans with the current directives.
We are planning on playing sports this summer! Our Team Chicago Soccer participants and our Ducks Baseball and Spikes Softball players will all began modified outdoor training. Based our Recreational Baseball, Softball and Competitive Baseball survey results, an overwhelming majority (78%-92%) of respondents want to play ball this summer! Our summer camps and soccer programs begin June 13th and our Wizards players can also begin modified training in June.
Below is a summary of plans, policies and procedures for the upcoming month. We will update this as guidance changes and as we enter Phase 4. In addition we have contacted all participants that are registered for summer sports and camps with specific information on those programs.
Programs at Outdoor and Indoor Facilities:

- Our indoor facilities will operate at below 50% of maximum occupancy.
- WAA employees will monitor capacity limits and social distancing
- Only scheduled programs and appointments are allowed (e.g. no walk-ins)
- Spectators are not permitted unless requested for parental supervision.
We look forward to beginning practices and programs for your children and families and will continue to keep our participants health and safety as our number one goal. Additional information will be sent to all registrants within the next few days.
