T-Ball #1114

This an introductory baseball program for both boys and girls at 5 or 6 years of age.  These players are currently (spring) in kindergarten or will be entering (fall) kindergarten.  Players are introduced to the basics of the game of baseball.  Focus is on instruction and fun.  Emphasis is on fundamentals of the game as players are shown the basics of hitting, throwing, catching and base running within a framework of teamwork and sportsmanship.    Kindergarten players with prior T-Ball experience may request in writing to play in the Rookie division. There will be both a Rookie K and Rookie 1st division.

Games are 6 innings long and players are rotated in and out every inning as well as shifted to different positions.   Soft baseballs are used and the ball is batted off a tee.  The inning is over once 5 runs are scored or 3 outs are made.  Scores and standings are not kept. For additional information on WAA rules for T-Ball, please click on the link below.

Teams are organized by neighborhoods whenever possible. Special requests to play with friends are considered whenever possible, but not guaranteed.

Players must provide their own glove, spikes (plastic only) and white pants.  WAA will provide bats, balls, catcher gear, bases and tee.  A major league replica jersey and hat are included in the registration fee.

Games are played at locations in close proximity to the teams neighborhoods whenever possible.  This league will be played on grass fields.  The season starts the first week of June and will run till the 2nd or 3rd week of July.
