Philosophy
The emphasis
of the program is to teach skills to young players and
enhance the skills of the more experienced players. It
is a "recreation basketball" program and therefore teams
will be limited to a maximum of three traveling players
each. The program should encourage player creativity in
the development of both individual and team skills. An
atmosphere of fun and good sportsmanship for all players
is our goal. Emphasis on winning only is not the
purpose of our program.

Coaches &
Volunteers
All our sports programs depend
entirely upon volunteer participation. Coaches and
assistant coaches are needed for every team. We
appreciate your assistance with filling these positions.
You must be 18 years of age or older and attend a
mandatory coaches clinic.
Head Coaches: Manage team practices
and games by the guidelines provided by WAA. They notify
team members of their team assignment and provide each
team member with a roster, schedule and shirt provided
by WAA. They schedule team practices and attend the
coaches’ clinic.
Assistant Coaches: Assist the head
coach with all of the above, and takes over for the head
coach when needed. Attend coaches’ clinic.
