IPSD 204 Middle School Soccer Program Information

Wheatland Athletic Association is the administrator for the IPSD 204 middle school soccer program.

Games will be on the middle school fields. Coaches will run practices at each middle school on non-game days, Monday through Friday from 3pm-4:30 or 5pm (no practice if school is not in session). Coaches will conduct tryouts and form one team per season (7th/8th boys in the fall and 7th/8th girls in the spring). Teams will have up to 16-20 players per team. There will be one coach per team.

Season is approximately 8 weeks long. District 204 will provide transportation to away games. Season will have 12 regular games and a single elimination season end tournament. All games are scheduled to start at 4:15pm or as soon as possible after the away team has arrived. Game cancellations will be determined by home coach/school and communicated to WAA and opposing team as soon as possible. Announcements will be made by school administration to students and via list serve to parents if possible. After 3:00pm, games will be called at the field.  

Current fee for participation in IPSD 204 middle school sports is $125/sport (paid to WAA).  WAA will follow IPSD eligibility rules.

Tryout Information

All 7th and 8th grade soccer tryout participants must have a current sport physical  turned into the coach prior to trying out. Necessary forms and waivers for participation are posted under "Rules and Forms". Please print, complete and bring to your coach at the pre-tryout meeting. Pre-tryout meetings will be announced at each middle school.  All forms will be due prior to the tryout. All other requirements will be reviewed at the meeting.  Cost of the program will be equal to the District 204 middle school athletic participation fee  ($125 in 2016-2017).

Girls Spring Soccer:
  • Coaches will hold informational meetings at each middle school in March.  

  • Tryout information and forms should be printed by clicking on the links below. All tryout participants will be required to turn in a completed Pre-participation examination form, (sport physical), prior to tryouts. Sport physicals must be dated on or after June 1, 2017.

  • Tryouts will be held in Late March/Early April - TBA.

  • Practices will begin immediately after tryouts at the middle school fields.

Boys Fall Soccer:
  • Coaches will hold informational meetings at each middle school on the first or second day of school.  

  • Tryout information and forms should be printed by clicking on the links below. All tryout participants will be required to turn in a completed Pre-participation examination form, (sport physical), prior to tryouts. Sport physicals must be dated on or after November 1, 2017.

  • Tryouts will be held the first week of school in August.

  • Practices will begin immediately after tryouts at the middle school fields.

204 Middle School Spring Soccer Champions!  Gregory Pioneers!


The Gregory girls’ soccer team defeated Granger Middle School in the championship game last night.
 The teams were evenly matched and Gregory scored in the last 10 minutes of the game, ending up with the ultimate victory!!
Congratulations to Gregory Middle School for being the girls soccer champions of 2017!
